Senior Symfony Developer (PHP)

Who are you?

Convinced by the Agile methodology, you are passionate about taking a leading part in developing high-quality applications based on the Symfony Framework . Work on challenging projects, including building APIs, creating and managing complex databases, working with third party services and libraries (e.g. ElasticSearch), etc. Use the latest technologies (latest versions Symfony , Bitbucket & GitLab , CI/CD based on CircleCi , AWS cloud services, etc). Work in a team in Bulgaria with the support of experienced international colleagues.

You have 3+ years of experience in applying OOP best practises across various projects. Writing “clean” , and well designed code is a must. Building efficient, testable and reusable “modules” is your goal. Solving complex performance issues and architectural challenges drives your motivation. Clear communication in English is a must, both written and oral. Experience in using project management tools (JIRA) as well as good understanding of HTTP and HTTPS protocols, JSON and XML data formats is a must. Good SQL knowledge using popular databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, Aurora) is also required.

It will be an advantage if you have experience with testing tools/frameworks, GIT, CI/CD. You are a highly motivated, energetic person and you are able to easily switch between assignments. Experience with Docker (for both local and production environments), using Linux and comfort in applying Scrum (or another Agile process) is a huge advantage. Familiarity with AWS cloud services and DevOps approach are good to have. Ability to learn and understand complex business processes and business rules quickly will be highly appreciated.

● Participate in all stages of development
● Work in a team environment with clear procedures and provide constant feedback
for improvement
● Analyze the requirements and scope of the applications
● Participate in knowledge sharing sessions
