Music Day at Positive Thinking Company

Music Day at Positive Thinking Company

Music is one of the most beautiful forms of art on the planet. Whether we’re on our way to work, partying on the weekend, exercising or cleaning: Music accompanies us always and everywhere. While most of us probably consider ourselves more on the side of the listener, there are some musical talents on our team that bring the art to life themselves. Today we’d like to introduce you to some of the musicians among us. Their stories are truly inspiring.

I just love having a soundtrack for life. While listening to or playing music myself, I’ve had some of the best moments of my life surrounded by music: festivals, playing guitar with friends, meeting people, even cleaning gets better with music!

I started playing when I was very young. From classical to electric to acoustic, I’ve always been interested in the guitar. And my preferred music has been heavily influenced by it. But I also like music for different moods and occasions.

It just brings emotion to everything you do. Anger, sadness, fulfillment, serenity… There is music for every emotion, and it can help push it or calm it down.

I sing in the Frankfurt Pop Choir “Mainevent” since 2017. As a “choir for all occasions” we sing at all kinds of events like weddings, corporate events, public events in the Frankfurt area, birthdays up to proposals. 😉 In addition, we usually organize our own concert once a year, where we perform our current favourite songs and greatest hits.

I have always sung in choirs and/or musical groups: Starting in the children’s choir during elementary school, then moving on to the school choir in secondary school. After not having the opportunity to sing in a choir during my studies and my time abroad, I fortunately discovered the Frankfurt Pop Choir when I moved to Frankfurt in 2017.

Relaxation and balance in everyday life, joy and a good feeling for the soul and creating moments of happiness for others.

I am a DJ and produce my own music.

A few years ago, I did an internship for Groove and started writing articles and record reviews for electronic music. During my studies I worked a lot at the club and of course the next classic Berlin step was to become a DJ. After a few gigs across France, the Netherlands, Italy and a lot in Berlin, I eventually dedicated myself to Ableton as a production software. Recently I was DJing in Warsaw and I am hoping that I will have more time for music soon.

After years of musical excesses in the Berlin underground, I would still consider myself to be on the “strange” side. 😝

I have an education in playing the piano and dancing. I was also gifted a violin last year, which I am trying to master at the moment.

In our family it has always been important to learn at least one artsy thing so I started ballet and classical piano when I was in kindergarten. I also had a cool piano teacher who would occasionally rehearse pop songs with me which I could then sing along to. As a teenager, I didn’t really want to do classical music anymore so instead of ballet I preferred jazz dance.

Now as an adult, music is my main stress reliever. There is something very liberating about letting everything out on the piano keys. Learning to play the violin is rather a little challenge for me because it still needs a lot of practice and concentration. Generally, music is an everyday companion that can amplify emotions. Whether it’s during sports, partying or relaxation: Music is the flavor enhancer in life.

We are proud to have so many musical talents on our team at Positive Thinking Company. Thank you for your commitment!
